A family history going back many generations with his Great Great Grandfather Moses B. Linscott who with his brothers operated Fredonia Schooners out of Little Island in Harpswell, Maine in the 1800's bringing salt cod to the islands of the Caribbean and making the return trip with molasses and surely a fair amount of rum. Grandfather Captain Lawrence E. Johnson made his living skippering luxury yachts from the Maine coast to Florida, fishing and lobstering from Mackerel Cove on Bailey Island until his late eighties. Brett's father Captain Jeffrey A Johnson has made his life's work as a master mariner, senior marine surveyor and consultant. Since leaving the high seas commercial fishing and the Merchant Marine, he formed and heads Marine Logistics Group out of Port Charlotte, Florida and Great Island, Maine with representatives throughout the maritime world.
